Most of all, I was hoping to have an experience with this Okaysou product that I could wholeheartedly recommend to you, should you ever be in need of cleaner, fresher, healthier air.
While I often have high hopes for the products I try, I’m also a healthy skeptic and can’t recommend something that we didn’t sincerely love.

Impressed from the very beginning
Have you ever ordered something and it was beaten beyond recognition by the time you received it due to poor packaging? You’re not alone!
That’s why one of the quick points I wanted to make was on the packaging quality. Our Okaysou AirMax 8L air purifier came boxed very carefully with rough transit in mind.
One of the first things that greeted me when I opened the external box, was their slogan, “Grab your big smile,” printed on the top of their internal box. It immediately made me feel as if I was dealing with a company that valued us as customers and our homes.
On the flaps, there is a personal message which I found endearing. It reads:

We’ve been running our Okaysou AirMax 8L now for almost two weeks continuously. It has been set to fan speed 3 (max).
The location I chose was a small bedroom we are currently sleeping in while we undergo chaos and construction in our home! (Even more reason I was pleased to try this out!)
We recently purchased a bed, new rug, and curtains for this room. These recent additions were leaving me stuffy and miserable in the morning which is not a normal condition for me.
Add in the fact that this is an older home, and with older homes come old smells, old dust (no matter how well you clean!), and some air quality issues you really can’t control.
It is for this reason, I can say with 100% certainty that this unit works!
Since running this air purifier non-stop for almost two weeks, I am no longer waking up with a stuffy head or nose! As a bonus – you can actually smell the clean when you walk into the room.

5-Stage Purification for the Toughest Odors, Bacteria and Toxins
By far, one of the most impressive features of this unit is the 5-stage purification your air will go through before you breathe it back in.
Step 1: Washable Pre-Filter. At this stage of filtration, you can expect to trap in the larger pollutants in your air like pet dander, allergy-causing dust, pollen, etc.
Step 2: H13 True HEPA Filter. This stage is where a lot of the magic happens! It captures down to 0.25 microns and up to 99.97% of pollutants that cause irritation, inflammation, and illness.
Step 3: Antimicrobial Filter. This part of purifying your air helps eliminate bacteria that can make you and your family sick. Okaysou claims their filters sterilize up to 99.9% of these harmful toxins in your air.
Step 4: Honeycomb Activated Carbon Filter. If you’ve been painting recently, added furniture, or simply have an older home – you will love this stage! As I was inserting these filters into the unit, there was no denying that I was holding quality in my hands. I’ve had some truly cheap air purifiers before and this isn’t one of them!

I honest to goodness recommend this one. They are durable, inexpensive, and no kidding get the job done. Ours runs 24/7 and the difference is night and day. In the past, I’ve had inexpensive air purifiers and they were complete junk. This one is not. I hope you can get one soon. The smallest one is $88. It would help more than you know with dust especially. The air even smells cleaner.

Yes! Air purifiers work amazingly well at catching odors leftover from cooking. Typically you don’t want to have them in the kitchen itself due to grease build-up but a space (or room) nearby would work wonders. They are brilliant at getting rid of what nothing else can. Like you said, especially in the colder months, they’re more important than ever! I hope you find the perfect fit for you!

The sleep mode that is quieter is genious! I am a light sleeper so having less noise is great, while still being able to use the humidifier. This one sounds like a great find and if I need one then I would consider it as one of my top choices! Thanks Holly for the insights xx

I’d like to try an air purifier in my room again as the other unit was put into a different room. I’ve come across Okaysou before but I’ve never tried them myself – I’d really like to give this one a go! I like the design and it sounds like it’s super effective too.
I’m sorry the new bed, rug and curtains have left you feeling stuffy and yucky. Holly, thank you so much for this extremely important information. Living with 7 cats and I myself having so many allergies, I’ve come to know how vitally important it is to have CLEAN air in our home. We just had a new furnace put in and we chose an April Air MERV 13 filter for it. It is an extremely high quality filter that leaves our home smelling so clean. We have some cats with respiratory problems and when they begin to cough we know immediately our filter needs to be changed. We try to change the filter before they cough to keep it consistent. I also use a very expensive vacuum cleaner that does use HEPA filters. We’ve tried several floor air filters but had not much luck. I am SO happy with our furnace filter. God bless you for all the work you put into informing people about the RIGHT way to live and how to live it.

Hi, LadyB! What a blessing to hear from you! In all sincerity, I think you would really enjoy one of these units. We’ve been running ours now for at least 2 or 3 months around the clock, nonstop, and it is making a big difference. There is no decrease in performance and the filters are still working well.
I hope you can find the solution to your stuffiness. Don’t forget dust on ceiling fan blades (if you have one), older carpet (or rugs) that may need deep cleaning, closet shelves or any of those less noticeable places that hide all the funk creating the sinus irritation. Please do consider one of these Okaysou units. For the price, I think we’d be hard pressed to find a more efficient and reliable little unit. 🙂
