You are so very right 💜 Hope you have a wonderful weekend too 💜💜
This is such a beautiful post! I love all of these quotes. The one that stuck out to me most was this: “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” Here lately I’ve been living in the past and not living in the moment or looking ahead. I guess because times were simpler then and I miss those days. Now everything is chaos and crazy! This post came at just the right time. So inspirational!! 🤗🤗🤗
You’re the best, Michelle. You really are! Thank you yet again for being such an encourager and kind soul. I’m not sure you realize how much of an impact you have on myself and others every day. You make a difference!
I smiled when I read this came at the right time for you. What more could I ask for? 🙂 I understand completely where you’re coming from about missing simpler days. It is crazy and chaotic these last couple of years and it seems there are so many things we need to contend with. Some days feel overwhelming. When you have beautiful memories, like the one you shared on your blog about your Grandma, it’s hard not to look back with warmth and reverie.
I still believe the best is yet to come – despite all of the current madness. I believe there is a reason we’re seeing so much upheaval at this time. It’s like a birthing pain before the baby. What do you think?
I’m praying nothing but God’s best for you & your family. I trust that you are all in His care and will be richly blessed in these coming days. All my love to you, dear friend. 🤗🤗🤗 back at ya!
I agree that this is all for a reason. I saw something earlier that said what if this virus was meant to make us isolate ourselves and stay home with our families. What if this makes us spend time with our kids? What if it makes us spend more time in the Word? What if it happened to bring us all together since the world has seemed to have fallen apart? That really made me stop and think. So yes I agree that the best is yet to come. 😀
Wow Michelle, that IS a deep thought. God’s ways are certainly not our own. It would be interesting if this pandemic really did bring families closer together or force people to deal with deep-seated issues and beliefs that have been harming relationships or themselves. Interesting! 🤔
Thank you so much for these quotes. I love it and had to screenshot some of it. 🙈
You just made my day, sis! I am grateful you enjoyed them so much. Thank you sincerely for letting me know! 🤗
Smiles. Wow. Glad to ma’am. 🤗
You are welcome. ❤
I love your blog 💕
You are sweet! Thank you so much. I am grateful you enjoy 💕
Wow, this is such an amazing collection! So many awesome ones, some I’ve heard before but most I haven’t. “Never measure your progress by using someone else’s ruler”, that’s definitely one to live by, especially given how much pressure we can put on ourselves with social norms and how we ‘should’ be doing this-that-and-the-other by certain points in our lives.
“Falling in love is accidental, staying in love is intentional, and growing in love is delightful” – that’s so sweet!
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” – Spot on. Helen Keller had so many incredible words of wisdom, what a blessing to share them with the world.
“Never be a prisoner of your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.” – A brilliant one in learning to let go, to learn and grow without feeling defined by our past.
This is an amazing post (as always) and I’m a sucker for quotes so I love it! 😄
Caz xxxx
I absolutely love what you’ve said here and agree 100%! It is a big deal to realize we don’t have to live by anyone else’s standards, timelines or ideas. We are our own people, on our own journeys and should respect that completely. It’s a freeing experience to know we are exactly where we should be at any given time, isn’t it?
You’re right about Helen Keller. I suppose adversity in life really does teach us our most valuable lessons! It is in our overcoming that we realize just how special we are!
Amen to what you said here: “Never be a prisoner of your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.” – A brilliant one in learning to let go, to learn and grow without feeling defined by our past. — Yes! We definitely can’t be defined by our past. I love that one quote that says, “Don’t look back. You’re not going that way!” How true is that?
You’re awesome Caz and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your thoughtful comments, always. You sure do know how to brighten someone’s day!
All my love to you ~ Holly 💕
Hi Holly I liked quite a few of the quotes you’ve shared but the one which means the most to me is:
“Never be a prisoner of your past. It was just a lesson, not a life sentence.”
Thanks for sharing these and have a blessed week!
Hi Carol! I’m so glad you came by to share your favorite of the list with me! I agree with you wholeheartedly; that one really stuck out to me as well. Sometimes when we have been through some mess in life – the healing journey can be rough. Yet the grace and healing of God helps us to go through so we can get to where He is leading. We were definitely never meant to be stuck in the place of our past pain.
Have an absolutely amazing week my friend. Sending tons of love your way! 💕
Thank you Holly. I wish you the same. And may God watch over you and your loved ones and keep them safe.
Lovely refreshing quotes!! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Nisha! Great to hear from you 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed these. We all need some encouragement these days, don’t we?
Yes agree much needed !
Great selection of quotes. A quote can change the way you see your life, can give you boost when you need it, can act like a friend when you need one or just make you laugh. I wrote a blog article recently with 4 quotes from Hippocrates, the Dalai Lam and the Native American Chief. The theme: Health Matters a Great Deal – https://authorjoannereed.net/quotes-that-can-change-your-life/ – Feel free to check it out!
Thanks Joanne! I agree, quotes are more than just a string of words thrown together. When allowed for them to – they really can get us thinking in a way that changes our lives for the better. Blessings to you and yours!
